According to the news, which seems shocked that the weather's actually doing what it's meant to do in the final month of the year, Britain has been plunged into a bleak, bleak midwinter. People are looking at snow and dropping dead, and small children's tears at the lack of electronic goods arriving in the post are freezing on their tiny little cheeks. Personally, I adore winter. Every bit of it. I love the snow, I love the general feeling of Merriness and seasonal cheer from most people, but there are certain parts of Winter I love more than anything.
Kids in winter are great. Not the arsey little sods that snowball you and those around you and think it's hilarious, but little kids in antlers and babies dressed like Christmas puddings. I saw a little girl today who was so wrapped up and had a coat so very large that her arms were stuck out at right angles from her body and she actually couldn't put them by her sides. She didn't seem to care, she was just trying to get to a Charlie and Lola book.
I even like Chavs in winter, purely because they don't want to put real coats on, and so are always obviously freezing. I saw one try to throw a snowball yesterday, misjudge his strength and just topple over. His friends laughed, I laughed, and I felt then that the spirit of Christmas was truly with us.
Even the walk to Morrisons, and very probably my walks to work next week, seem nicer in the snow. There were more people walking, it was dark and quiet and most everyone seemed happy to be out there. I stood in my drive and it was dead quiet apart from two people singing Jingle Bells. Because at Christmas, in the snow, you can legitimately sing outdoors, and no one really minds.
As Wizzard once put it, If you're skating in the park, and the snow clouds paint it dark, then your rosy cheeks are gonna light my merry way.

On Youtube, Twitter and Facebook.
Youtube
I don't believe in 'Sub4Sub'. It's pointless, and purely a way to boost your subscriber numbers. There are a few people I know on Youtube that have over 100 subscribers. I have roughly 20. I've been going longer than them, and although I haven't made a video in a while, there IS something in the pipeline. Now, I might be guessing, and I might be wrong, but I think their subscribers are from Sub4Subs, or from people subscribing to them because they met them one time and feel they should. In case you don't know what Sub4Subs are, how it works is that if I subscribed to you on YouTube, you would subscribe to me without looking at my videos, seeing if you liked them, anything similar. Do I wish I had more subscribers on Youtube? I suppose so, yes, but I'd rather have people who watched my videos and enjoyed them, than people subscribing because they feel they have to.
Twitter
My sister's friends have started to get twitter. As they know I have twitter, they're following me. Don't get me wrong, I like facebook, but I say different things on twitter. I don't think I want her friends following me, but I don't want to delete them because they're her friends, and I kind of want to encourage them to use Twitter, because it's brilliant. But that lead me to think. What will the Tweeps among us do when Twitter is Facebook? Where will we go? Will we retreat back to Facebook, and stage a revival in an attempt to lure the vapid to their rightful place, or will we instead move to pastures older? Myspace, maybe, or even Bebo. Will there be a New Twitter for us to run to? Should we run at all?
Facebook
Recently I've had a couple of Facebook Friend Purges. I deleted anyone a) who I hadn't spoken to recently, and didn't even when they weren't at Uni, b)who's general updates weren't entertaining enough to warrant keeping them on my list or c)I didn't actually like.
Not many people noticed, if I'm honest, but then there was trouble. If someone noticed I'd deleted them and re-added me, what would I do? In all cases so far, I've accept the friend request, because I'm a wuss. What I'd like to do is ignore, because obviously I don't want them on my friends list, but most of these occasions have been people who I used to class as a friend. But I don't want to cause an argument.

The Goodnight List
Almost every night, before I go to sleep, I say Goodnight to a list of people. I absolutely HAVE to get it right. If I forget about it entirely, it's fine, but if I get it wrong halfway through, I have to start from the beginning. Yes I know, OCD much, but it's really my only thing like this. Doesn't sound that hard, does it? Yeah, actually, cos the list is 40+ people, more if I'm not with my family because then they get added on to the list. You can track my phases and obsessions through this list, and there and some omissions that, if you know me well, you'll be surprised about. Here's the list. Some are fictional, some aren't. If anyone tells me the full names of all of these people, I'll buy you a present.

Being Famous
Everyone's heard the saying about '15 minutes of fame'. In the society we live in currently, it's becoming easier and easier to grab hold of your 15 minutes and squeeze every last drop out of it. X-factor et al. help with this, but if you know me, you already know that I hate those programmes intensely anyway for the cruelty shown towards the contestants, and the sense of superiority that they create for the public viewers. Being famous for being famous is pretty much commonplace now, and I'm sure there are kids somewhere that want to grow up and 'be famous'. I know I did when I was little. I wanted to be a famous actress. I'll be honest, if someone Famous tweets me, I'm very excited.
I don't want to be famous now. I'd like to be recognised for something, be it YouTube (which I doubt, considering my constantly growing hiatus) or for writing, or something entirely unknown to me yet that I do in my future. If someone was as excited about me tweeting them as I am when Reece Shearsmith does, or when Maureen Johnson does, or if I was recognised in the street, I would be very happy with my life. I don't need to be famous, to have tons and tons of money, but if I made someone as happy as the 'famous' people I admire can make me, that's my life complete.

The Plague
That's right, the Blake family have been struck down. Dad's alright now, and Charlotte hasn't had it yet. James is downstairs watching TV and milking his a little bit, Mum's feeling a bit better and is in bed with the kitty and I'm in bed, freezing cold and dry heaving every 10 minutes. JUST want you want to hear early in the morning. Sorry I'm complaining, but I'm dehydrated and freezing. Rar.

Apologies and Explanations.
Hello again. Sorry it's been a while but life recently got rather more hectic than usual. As you all know, I'm working at Waterstones during the week now. It's been fine up until now, even with the early starts, but from tomorrow until Christmas eve, I start work at 5am. Which means I now get up at 4am. There's no bus, so I'll be walking. With the weather like it is, I'm preparing myself with lots of layers and pocket handwarmers, as well as some podcasts to keep me going on my way. Really, I enjoy the work itself, it's just the hours that are a bitch. But this is the reason why it's HIGHLY unlikely I'll be going out in the evenings now, or at least not staying out until after 8, which is my bedtime. (Unless it's a thursday, and I have warning so I can nap in the day beforehand).
I might be a bit grumpy for a little while, at least until I get used to it, and if I yawn when you're talking, it's not cos I'm bored, it's because I'm shattered. I promise I'll stop talking about it soon, but at the moment, this is all that's going on in my life.
In other news:
I've finished my Personal Statement (finally) and am just waiting for DK to email it back.
Filming starts on 'Snippets of Conversations' this week (hopefully)
I'm really fucking cold.

Don't I feel like a Bitch.
Yes. I do
Because today I was meant to work at Marshalswick Library. I said I'd do it a few weeks ago, before I got my Waterstones job, and as no one said anything about it until Mita rang today to remind me that I was meant to have gone it, I totally forgot. I know it's my responsibility to keep track of these things, and I know it's no one's fault but my own. I feel HORRIBLE. I've promised to buy a big box of biscuits to say sorry because I was meant to work tomorrow as well and I can't because we're doing stuff for James' Birthday.
Sorry Marshalswick Library. Sorry people :(

An Adventure
What I haven't properly told you yet, as I planned to do in the video I mentioned on Monday (before the tripod disappeared), was that I officially have a job. Currently I work in St Albans Library 9-4 on a saturday, but from this coming Sunday I'll also be working in Waterstones. Books Galore! But before we start to party (as we booklovers do so well) I need to tell you the hours.
Firstly, I'm now working every day of the week. I know, I know, cash is cash, and believe me, I need cash. It's not that I'm working every day that is the annoyance of this job. It's that Monday to Friday, I'm working 6.30am to 10.30am. So yesterday I went on an adventure to practice getting the bus at 6.07am
It all went fine. I got up at about 5.15, checked my internet, got dressed, had a cuppa, and then left. Luckily the bus stop is right outside my house, so I didn't have to go very far. I had some podcasts to listen to, and so spent the 5 or so minutes waiting for the bus laughing in the dark like a nutter. Now, I do know how to get the bus, this was more just to make sure that the bus did actually come when it said it did. Which it did. So I ended up in the centre of town at 6.15 in the morning.
To be perfectly honest, I hadn't really thought this far ahead. When I'm doing this for work, I'll have somewhere to GO when I get to town. On a normal day, I didn't. So I ended up walking the long way to the Orchards, through a graveyard, no less, and sitting on a bench watching the sun come up behind the Abbey. It was actually really nice. Almost completely silent, just birds, and people walking their dogs. After a while, when it had got slightly lighter, I walked round the lake in Verulamium Park, debated having a McDonalds breakfast (I decided no, as although they were open and I was cold, I would have had something massively unhealthy) and then wandered back up to the clock tower. I spent an enjoyable half hour or so reading my book and waiting for Starbucks to open at 8, and then had breakfast and waited for Anne.
It was... lovely. It was. If I'd known how gorgeous St Albans is in the early morning, before even the Market Stalls have been set up, I'd have gone before. I can highly recommend it. Now though, until Christmas Eve at least, I won't be enjoying it so much, as I'll have to actually go to work.

Bad Spelling and Fans
This blog is, as you may have guessed, about two things. Bad Spelling and Fans. By the latter of the two I mean Fanboys/Fangirls, but we'll get to those in a moment. First off:
Bad Spelling
Recently I got involved in a 'Comment argument' on Facebook. One of the people involved was making a point about 'Fraud'. She, however, was spelling it 'Freud'. Now, we all know that those are entirely different things. I made my argument in a comment, and then pointed it out to her that fraud is spelt with an 'a'. She then proceeded to have a go at me about picking on her bad spelling. In a comment full of bad spelling, awful grammar, and, frankly sloppy punctuation. I know I sound like a dick, but bad spelling/grammar/punctuation really gets on my nerves (as does shortening 'you' to 'u' etc.when you have a full QWERTY keypad, and no character limit. It's allowed if you're pushed for space on Twitter.) If you're a bad speller, people are going to judge you on that, and that'll never change, no matter how much people say it will. That rant's over. Now a new one:
Fans
I'll be the first to admit that I'm a fan. A fan of many things, to be precise. I'm active in a few fandoms, I'm not well known particularly, and I don't write fanfiction or do fanart. I read fandom!secrets. But I wouldn't say I was a massive fangirl. Unlike some people I've come to know recently. For example; a couple of weeks ago Jane and I went to see The Sarah Jane Adventures. At that preview there were A LOT of Fanboys. Not so many Fangirls, but still. The problem with some fanboys is that they are exactly as the media like to portray them. Overweight, sweaty, badly dressed. They could make the effort, you know? I've also met a few fangirls - someone added me on Youtube as a friend purely because I said I'd seen Tom Milsom.
Really, what I'm saying is that Fans can go too far. I personally would never have the nerve to go up to someone I admired if they were, say, with their family, or out for dinner, and ask them to sign things. I might, possibly, if I saw them on the street, just pop over and say I enjoy their work, or just to say hello. That could be because I'm actually kinda shy, or it could be that I wouldn't want my day full of pesterers, and I so I try not to be one myself.

Youtube
Looking at my Youtube account, I realise that I haven't done a normal blog in... a very long time.
By a normal blog, I mean one where I'm not entering a Film Competition (Still only me and one other person on the main website - LOOK), I'm not with my brother, I'm not in Corfu or showing you how to do something, and I'm not hiding behind pieces of paper. I mean one where I'm talking to you. In fact, my last proper blog in that respect was on the 6th of AUGUST
I'm disgusted with myself.
Anyway, I would like you, my people, to help me. I'm going to make a video diary of one day next week. I want you lot to pick which day. It can be any day, from Monday-Sunday inclusive. So Comment with which day you would like.

Death of The Doctor
So last night, Jane and I went to see a preview screening of The Sarah Jane Adventures episode 'Death of The Doctor', as well as a QnA with some of the cast and crew afterwards.
We went up to London about midday and went to Covent Garden, and bought sweets, and then looked at a scary theatre, and got soaked by a fountain. Then we went to an AWESOME arcarde where I made a fool of myself on Dance Machines and Jane won SIX prize tickets. Which is apparently enough for a Fox's Glacier Mint.
We went to the British Film Institute, got us some Bonus!Reece, had dinner (after a lot of wandering around) and then went and waited to go in for the screening. We made friends with a couple called Greg and Emma, who were really nice, and not overly geeky, and we mocked the smelly, sweaty, underdressed and slobby fanboys. Then ELIZABETH SLADEN walked past and everyone was like !!!. A little later, KATY MANNING walked past and everyone was like !!!. Then TOM MILSOM walked past and I was like !!! while everyone else was like ... (I use 'like' a lot. Leave me alone Emma Thompson) Yes, I am a YouTube nerd. There was another one too, who practically knocked someone over chasing Tom. I hope I am never like that.
Then, it was time to go and watch the show.
The show was introduced by a nice man from the BFI and first we watched some Classic!Who clips, of Jo Grant and Sarah Jane Smith's original departures from the TARDIS. We wiped eyes and laughed at clothing. BFI man announced that there was to be a quiz, with signed prizes. The third question was to win a SJA postcard signed by Liz and Katy, and a Merlin poster signed by some of the cast. 'What is the last episode in this series of SJA to be called?' Jane's hand was STRAIGHT UP (because we'd been discussing it earlier) and she won the prizes. We then fangirled so much we missed the final quiz question, but who cares really?
The lights went down, and the show started. Even though I'm almost entirely sure that no one else bar Jane and Myself who reads this blog watched SJA, I'm not going to give anything away about the plot. I will say this though, it was beautiful, Matt Smith was amazing, and there were scenes that almost made me cry. It is entirely wasted on children.
The QnA started with the introduction of the... Questionees (new word, live with it) and a few questions from the BFI man, and then moved onto questions from the Audience, our new friends Greg and Emma both asking questions, and most of the others being as good as theirs. But here is where I must move on to my only disappointment of the evening.
Children. You're going to say I'm being harsh, I know it, but hear me out. Sarah Jane Adventures is a kids show, it's broadcast on CBBC, it has a younger demographic than Doctor Who. But this screening was for adults, or at least people older than 16, which is when most people, myself not included, stop watching CBBC. It was at 8pm for that reason, so that those people who are normally busy during the day could come and watch it. But there were still children there. It was fine during the screening itself. But during the QnA it really started to get on my nerves. There was a small boy a few rows in front of us who was clearly tired, bored and wouldn't stop fidgeting. There was a small boy who asked TWO questions, neither of which were amazing - 'Why are they always in two parts?' being the BETTER of the two - and a little girl who asked 'Who is your favourite Doctor?' Which, to be fair, is quite a good question, and got good answers.
But again I'm going to say, this showing wasn't for kids, even though the show itself is.
On the plus side, I was THIS CLOSE to Tom Milsom.
I'm such a Nerd.

I'm deleting my most watched Youtube Video.
Why are you doing this? I hear you cry (inmyhead)
It's a video about the thorn that was in my foot after I trod on a branch at Jess' birthday party in april. I titled it 'Feet'
Unfortunately, this lead to my channel being subscribed to by a LOT of Foot Fetishists, and all the related videos being of a similar theme.
Much as I like people subscribing to me, I'd like them to do it because they like my videos, not because they're hoping for foot porn. Watching it back now, I really dislike it as a video anyway. It was filmed on my webcam, and I'd only just started making videos, so it's badly edited etcetc. I don't delete old videos, as a rule, even if they're crappy like this one is, but I'm getting spammed by Fetishists, and I don't want new people coming to my channel (as hopefully they soon will do - more on that at a later date) and watching my most watched video, and it being that.
So.
Goodbye Foot Video.

Whatever happened to School TV?
I remember those good ol' days. Sciving off school so I could sit at home, under my duvet on the sofa (Oh the Luxury) and watch TV all day.School TV, on from about 10 - 2 on CBBC, was really all that I was allowed to watch, it being educational and all. I didn't really mind it, I kinda enjoyed it.
But now, when I'm on my Gap Year, and have all the time in the world to sit and watch telly on the sofa, there's no School TV to be found. What happened to it? Where are Zapp and the Wordmaster? Where is that programme about Rivers that seemed to be on all the time? Where's the 70s telly that was still being broadcast in the early 00s? Now there is solid Kids TV on CBBC. Some of it worse than the School TV ever was.
Yes, I know I'm nearly 19, and shouldn't be watching Kids Telly, but that's not the point.
Where's the Magic Pencil when you need him?

Yes, I know I'm plugging my OWN blog, but today was the 100th post of Stuff on the Wall!
Over 100 pictures I think, due to some being triple posts as I was away on holiday, but still, a pretty big achievement in my eyes.
If you follow this blog but not that one, you're missing out :p
p.s you can have my sandwich.

It's just truly hit me that most of my friends are heading to Uni this year. I know that, really, they should be more nervous, more upset, more scared than I should, they're moving to new cities, miles and miles away mostly, and will be with a COMPLETE set of new people. I, on the other hand, am staying in the town I've lived in all my life, a place I know very well, in the house I've lived in all my life, with my parents. Yes, I've got to do things round the house now, but I'm not having to support myself as they are.
Why then, am I so upset? Why am I scared of what's going to happen this year? It's not like much is changing for me. I'm still doing what I've always been doing, I'm still spending most of my time on the internet, or watching Films, or watching TV.
Good Luck to all my friends going off to Uni this week, or next, or in October. Good luck to those who went yesterday. I'll miss you all, even though I know that I'll see you at Christmas.

The Hunger Games
So today I read the first Hunger Games book. Just finished it in fact. I really liked it, I'm going to read the other ones when I can. But to be honest, I was a teeeeeeensy bit disappointed. It wasn't as awesomely awesome as I thought it was going to be. I hate people though, that judge straight away, as some of you know, so I'm going to do another, better, more detailed blog post about them when I've read the other two books. That's all for now.

Soppy Blog. Live with it.
Today I have learnt something.
You don't have to have known someone very long for them to be your friend.
You don't have to have met them more than once for them to be your friend.
You don't have to have met them one single time for them to be your friend.
Missing the Nerdfighters.

This morning I woke up, checked my blogs, and had the delight of doing something that I don't often do in the morning. No, not read all of Hexachordal's Beatlesathon on Twitter, though that was fun, it was the chance to read a very very well written blog post by a friend of mine. Caitlin, your blog was amazing and I wish I had the work ethic to sit down and write something as well thought out as that.
If you haven't read Caitlin's blog, or don't follow it, go and read this article, and then follow her -Caitlin's Blog
Today one of my best friends is going to Brazil for Six Weeks with the (Prime Mininster's) Global Fellowship. Good Luck Jess, I'll miss you while you're gone.

Well
Here's my back from Corfu post
Corfu was lovely, nice and hot, great pool, great sea, and on the whole Greek people seem to be massively friendly, and I got two free puddings in the course of the week. Our Rep got fired for people drunk, people got bitten by bugs and mozzies, we all have to hope that the Saga DOESN'T continue, and it poured with rain when I got home.
My sister went to Newquay and got a better tan than me. Nice One.

Goooooood Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning! It is indeed the day after my very last School Gathering. Yes, that's write, it's the morning after Prom.
And I have few things I just wanted to tell all of you, not just the people that read my blog, but people in general, as whole, that might stumble across this in many years to come. Those people will obviously think it's the early(ish) morning ramblings of a girl who desperately needs tea, but due to point number 2, can't get it up to her room very easily.
Here are my words, of wisdom
1. Never make a Youtube Video with the tag 'Feet' or 'Foot'. You will be innundated with Subscribers who are foot fetish channels.
2. It is a testament to how monumentally unfit I am that I woke up with leg cramp at 6 this morning.
3. Heels are Evil. Bad, Bad Heels.
4. Bad Dancing is always fun. Doing the Macarena to all songs is also great.
5. Never set your morning alarm when drunk. I tried to set mine for 10 and it went off at 1.
I think that's it.
Those 5 little knowledge Knuggets are the things that I'm sending you out into the world with.
Also some nice prom pictures

First off, quick apology for the lack of any sort of substantial blog recently. I'd say I've been busy, but to be honest, I haven't. Click Me took a while to do, most of Monday in fact, and if you haven't seen it yet, click on the Youtube picture at the side and then it's my most recent video.
I spent today hunting for Prom related things in the Harlequin in watford, and reading a book about Consumerism not being all it's cracked up to be, two things that clashed rather a lot. This and the fact that it's very very hot, too hot for me and too hot for my cat, made me thing about a few things.
Half the stuff I buy and want, I don't need. Those that know me reasonably well will know that I don't really buy clothes, and spend most of my money on DVDs, CDs, Books and, above all else, food. I spend SO MUCH on food when I'm out. It'll just be a toasted sandwhich and a drink for lunch, but then we'll also get coffee, and I'll get a coke and some crisps, and probably some sweets as well. When there's money in the bank, I'll go to Morries specifically to buy food to snack on, that I really don't need to buy or eat.
Since I've got a job, and bare in mind that I've been in constant work for nearly two years now and will soon start looking for a second job to supplement the pay from my Saturday Job during my gap year, I've noticed something. I go out less now than I did when I was on £15 a month pocket money. I used to go to Watford ALL THE TIME. Town every weekend, Watford at least twice a month, usually buying something. I know the train tickets cos less, but even so.
In an unrelated event that I meant to blog about but never got round to doing, a couple of weeks ago I was in town before work. I'd gone into MnS to get some lunch (spending my money on food again) and when I came out, I stopped to sort my bag out. The Big Issue guy was there and I'd just spent all my change on Lunch. He went 'Big Issue?', the way that Big Issue sellers are wont to do, and I went 'Sorry Mate, no change'. He gave me the FILTHIEST LOOK I have ever received. I just kinda ran/walked away. I know I'm middle class, have lots of money in comparison to some, just did a blog on my very own laptop which was bought for me complaining about lack of money, but I just wanted to turn around and go 'Actually, I think you'll find I've raised probably over £200 for Charity, and I am VERY sorry that none of it has gone to you, and if I had change I would have bought a Big Issue but I DON'T'

Today I had a Drama exam. This blog is about that exam, but probably not about it in the way that you'd think. I'm not going to talk about how it went, what questions I answered or whether or not my hand ached afterward.
I'm going to talk about how it was organised.
My Exam was in the hall. Also in the Hall was the GCSE History Paper, which some of my sister's friends were taking. Their paper was two hours long to our two and half hour one.
When I got home from going to Jane's after the exam, Charlotte (my sister) was telling Mutti about how her friends felt really bad about being in the same room as us, and having to leave half way through and therefore disturbing us. My Mum too said it was pretty bad, having put us in the same room.
I, however, hadn't even thought about it like that. I'd just gone 'Oh, they're in the hall too. Fair enough, we're all going to be silent anyway.' Ok, so they were a little noisy after they'd left, but I wouldn't say they'd been a disturbance in any way other than that.
The point I'm trying to make is that I am so used to my exams being in rooms with other exams, or people leaving half way through - I took Triple Science GCSE, most of that was watching people leave before you - that I didn't even think it was odd, whereas my mum and sister, and her friends, thought it was awful. My Mum was seriously considering writing a letter of complaint, I believe.
At the end of our exam we had to sit in our seats, in silence, while the teachers faffed around collecting Lysistratas and Twelfth Night Notes, handing out forms to be signed - Mine had already been given to and signed by someone else before they realised that it wasn't theirs. It had to be crossed out. I hope that doesn't affect it in any way. - and then called everyone to sign their notes. Why they couldn't have said this at the beginning, given out the forms to be signed at the beginning, or even straight after the exam, while the were collecting they could have been given out, I don't know.
My sister also told me today about another school exam failing. A girl in her year had Leukemia. She's recovering now, but due to chemotherapy her nerves are damaged and she finds it hard to concentrate unless she's alone, or as alone as you can be when taking an exam, and so she asked to be given a room to herself for her GCSEs. She's been put in a room with other people who have to be seperated. Although this is better than being in the full exam hall, she still finds it very difficult to concentrate, and with the amount of rooms in our school, you would think that one of them would be available. Another girl in my sister's year gets occasional panic attacks in exam time. This girl has been given a room to herself. This, to me, just doesn't seem fair. A Girl that has fought Leukemia, and that wants to do well in her exams and become a Doctor is being denied a fair chance at that.
I've written this blog with what I think is the facts, if they're not, I'll change them. If school, for some reason, find this, I honestly don't care. I've left school now, and I think that these things need to be said.

Advertising, Chairs and my Desk.
Yesterday evening I cleared out my desk. Why did I suddenly decide that now was the right time to do it after putting it off for about a year and a half? I'd drunk two and a half litres of Diet Pepsi, that's why. Where it doesn't have sugar, it makes up for it in caffeine and so I was very very awake and jumpy at about half past nine at night. Clearing my desk seemed like the obvious thing to do. I'd just watched State of Play (British, not American - So much better) and that made me feel like being efficient.
Unfortunately, I'd forgotten a couple of the reasons that I'd been putting off clearing and using m desk. First off, it was full of rubbish that I'd forgotten why I'd wanted to keep. Although I did find some old photos which I'm getting reprinted. Prepare for hilarity, when I get a scanner. Secondly, the chair that I have for my desk is too low. Even with a cushion I'm at just the wrong height to sit comfortably and write, and although I can type easily enough, it's killing my shoulders. I can't even use the pull out section of my desk because to fit the laptop onto it, I have to pull it right out, and then it's jammed against my stomach because my desk is in the narrow part of my room.
On the plus side, I did get up earlier because I couldn't use the laptop while I was in bed. Although the flip of that, where I assumed that I would go to bed earlier because using the laptop at the desk was uncomfortable didn't really work. Hopefully the slight lack of sleep will mean that I get to bed earlier tonight so that I'm up and ready for the Drama exam tomorrow. Talking of which, I've done the plot of Twelfth Night with Post-its on my youtube channel, if you click on the youtube picture at the side, it'll take you there.
I'm Petitioning my parents to buy/partially buy me a new chair, preferably a spinny one, and a lamp. I also really would like a phone in my room, but I'm not sure how they will respond for that. My plan of attack is to point out that I'd pay for the actual phone itself, and during my gap year I'll be paying part of the phone bill anyway, so maybe I should be allowed to have my own phone. I do, however, have a feeling that this will go the same way as me attempting to be allowed a lock on my bedroom door, to which the answer was a resounding no.
The other day I searched for a Red Dwarf poster on allposters.com. What I didn't realise is that somehow the adverts on 4od try and sell you the things that you've looked at on different websites. Now next to Drop the Dead Donkey I am being advertised posters of stars and planets, which is not what I meant by Red Dwarf, but nevertheless, I do feel like I'm being spied on a little bit. Have you ever actually bought something from an advert? I mean, I have once I think, when I was about 11 I bought a hair streaker machine thing that could put different colours in your hair. It was undoubtably designed for straight haired children however, and I just ended up with a messy blue tangle where my fringe used to be.

Shopping.
A few things I've learnt today.
'Holiday shop for Laura and Charlotte' = 'Let's just look for Charlotte's prom shoes while Laura considers stabbing herself to death with a Stilletto Heel'
I love Millets and wish I could buy all my clothes there. Ditto Gap.
Post It brand Post its are EXPENSIVE
I want to do lots of camping
Coca Cola Vanilla isn't as good as Diet Coke Vanilla
HnM Queues are full of idiots - If you're queuing for 5 mins, GET YOUR MONEY OUT BEFORE YOU GET TO THE FUCKING TILL. Good GOD.
You can in fact stub not only your toe, but your whole foot
Nowhere has shoes in a 5, but everywhere has shoes in a 7
Also lots of Cycling
That's it really
DW last night was awesome and I will at some point re-watch

Hey there Bloggerinos
Apologies for the long time hiatus from Blogger, I don't really know what happened there but hopefully now I am back with Vengence and misspelt words
Today's topics will be:

Doctor Who
Revision
Drop the Dead Donkey
Formspring
and

SPOILERS AHEAD BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
Ashes to Ashes
Well. What an ending. The internet nutters guessed right for once. The end of an era was handled well and there were few moments in the final few episodes that I could have critised. Jim Keats was fantastically played, and truly scary at times (like when he trashed the office) and I want to play that part. so much. SO MUCH.
Moving on from that, if you didn't understand the ending I'm referring you to my good friend Jess' Explanation Blog. Also the Jane Genie's Review Blog which is really very good and much better than mine could be.
What's next?
Ah yes
Doctor Who
I think the series so far has been very very good, and I adore Matt Smith. I honestly think, and I know it's cheesy, that he's becoming my New Series Doctor. Peter Davison will always be MY Doctor. Now, I've warned you of Spoilers, and if you didn't care about Ashes but do care about Doctor Who and HAVEN'T seen this saturday's episode yet Look Away NOW! Go on! Skip to the bit about Drop The Dead Donkey. Seriously. Piss Off. Go on. In Fact, Go watch it on iPlayer! NOW! Good, now they've gone
Blank Space for Good Measure
Rory's Death. It was upsetting, Amy's reaction was just... really moving. But honestly, in my heart of hearts (I have two as well) I think it was purely just for Plot. (I know, everything that happens is plot, but let me get my point across before you attack me. Jeez....) I think if they were going to Kill him, they should have either done it later in the series or earlier in the series. They should have done a good long run of Rory Episodes, rather than what... 4? so that we got to know and care for him as a character more. And they SHOULDN'T HAVE KILLED HIM IN THE DREAM EPISODE WITH ONLY ONE EPISODE BETWEEN THAT AND THIS!!! I just think that it lessened the impact SO much. Yes, we needed that death in the Dream One so that Amy could make her choice and we'd see that she cared but I don't think enough time was left
Also thought the Silurian episodes were a bit weird, but I loved them anyway
Moving on from that Rant
Drop the Dead Donkey
Is a TV programme that ran from 1990-1998, set in Globelink News offices. It's very very topical (so topical that on 4od they have to tell you what happened in the week before it so that the jokes make sense) and if you're into Politics (Jess, Caitlin) or... you know, lols, I think you should go and watch it NOW! I'm getting a major crush on Damian, despite the 90's clothes. Also, it's fun to play 'Let's see if there is an episode set on the day I was born!' There isn't, for me, it's very disappointing
I've watched the first 4 series now, and do have a couple favourite episodes, but really you should watch from the beginning. There are loads of little parts from people you know (GENE HUNT! And also Jess, that crap actor from Casualty that played the dad in that episode we watched together? He's in one) and also Amos Diggory is there. Go watch it. Now. Have a link - Drop the Dead Donkey
FormSpring
I love formspring, but have banned myself from asking people questions due to making a tit of myself on it recently
Also, an appeal; I got this as an anonymous message on Formspring :
'You're cool. I'd like you to know that you inspire me to be myself, however i'm being whimpy and doing it over formspring 1. because we have a past in a weird way 2. therefore it would be awkward and sound stalkerish chow for now :D xxxxxx'
If you know who that is and could tell me so I could go say thanks to them that would be LOVELY
Danke
Sooty
You might know this already but I want to be a Children's Television Presenter. Like, Cbeebies age I think. I also like puppets and am, even if I do say so myself, a pretty good hand puppeteer. Hence my purchase of a Sooty Puppet the other day. I love him Lots. That is all.
Also, a few other things on my mind:
Stop advertising stuff at me on twitter or I will unfollow you. I'm NOT going to take any notice of them!
Simmons will do a buffet for two to 100 - anyone want to get 'Buffet B - Ideal for Parties and a more substantial working lunch' after exams?
Those interested in being part of a topsecret thing for youtube, email me!
Bye All!

Bye All!

Well
I've been up since about 8.30 yesterday morning
That's about 20 hours I think
Maths has died
My ears are sore from headphones
My eyes are sore from screens
but
I love being the laptop nerd in the corner
I love cycling through Sta at 4 in the morning
I love Youtube
I love Deviant Art
Soon
I will have been up for 24 hours
I might actually go in for Drama and just be knackered
I might have a nap after school
I might totally flop my history mock

Summer Reading Challenge!
Hey!
The Library wants YOU!
Volunteers are needed to listen to Children talk about the books they've read for the reading challenge
What's the reading challenge? Children sign up to read as many books as they can over the summer, and then get a Certificate (I think there are levels depending on how many they've read)
I did it every year I could when I was little and I always loved it. It's a great way to encourage reading for Pleasure and we really need Volunteers
Volunteers are needed from the 19th July - 16th September, but I'm not sure if you'd be needed for all of that time (Probably not)
So head here - http://tinyurl.com/39rhfj6 and Sign Up Now!
Closing date is 19th May, so be quick!

Hello!
First off, I would Like to apologise for the fact that a lot of my blogs lately have just been links to Youtube Vlogs of mine
Sorry
Secondly, and this is something I am way too excited about - I got a comment on a video I made that WASN'T FROM SOMEONE I KNOW IN PERSON
Yay!
Blogging is taking a bit of a back seat while I experiment with Vlogging at the moment, and while I try and think of more of a plot line for the short story I'm writing
Also A Levels

A Poem about Tizer
I wish I had a glass
of that fizzy red
and most delicious
fruit flavoured drink
I would sip it
and murmer to myself
about how good it tastes
when things are entirely artificial
I ignore the stained tongue
that looks back at me from the mirror
and drink again
wanting that oh so elusive
hyperactive feeling
that comes from Tizer
mixed with Sherbet
something, that should not be done
without adult supervision

Fantastic Mr Fox?
Hey all
Just watched Fantastic Mr Fox on dvd
Was looking forward to it, cos I love the book, and on the whole it was really funny and there were definately some bits that made me laugh out loud for a long time, but I don't think I'd buy it/make an effort to watch it again
why?
because it really wasn't very true to the book AT ALL. Bar a few characters, they were all pretty much changed or sidelined, and the reason for this was that it had been Americanised to the MAX. Although clearly meant to be set in England due to the 'typical english village' that got burnt by pinecone granades (don't ask), all the main characters, except for Boggis, Bunce and Bean were American. Ok, George Cluney and Meryl Streep might be good actors, but Mr Fox is BRITISH. No, I'm not just being anti-american, yes I know that Roald Dahl lived in America for a long time but still! He's clearly an upperclass british guy. The story was pretty much ENTIRELY changed, and they essentially inserted a war in which loadsa stuff got entirely recked. Also a Wolf. Don't ask why, there is NO REASON FOR IT. They just shoved a loada storylines in to make it last longer and to get about 4 different Morals across to an audience that they obviously thought the average age of would be about 7.
Yes, I liked it. But I think it should have, and could have, been truer to the book, and I don't really understand why the Dahl Estate let it be as massive as it did.

Well
5 days
Apologies for the long time without Blog nor Vlog
Worked all weekend, first day at the Library was good, lots of paperwork and shelving books. hopefully once they understand that I've visted the library before and therefore know where the books go, it'll be better :p
Sunday was a nightmare, but only one day left.
Monday, Tuesday and Today I have been ill
You'd think what with that meaning that I have access to the internet all day with nothing else to do, I'd have done lots of blogs, but intead I watched House cos it takes less effort and I don't have to have the laptop actually on my lap.
For those that didn't get that, its so I can get up quickly n not worry bout breaking anything
I love House. It's great
Read all of 'Notes from an Exhibition' again. Great book. It's by Patrick Gale, I recommend it massively.
Blackadder is also getting me through this.
Dunno if I'll be back tomorrow, kinda hope I will cos I'm a little bored of being in Bed. Was feeling better, then... well you don't need to know the details, and although I'm feeling a little better still, not so much.
Ah, who knows

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Rocky Horror Picture Show. A fantastic film, musical, soundtrack
If you haven't seen it, I recommend it massively. If you just googled and got a load of people in corsets, you're meant to. Don't let that put you off. It's funny, singalongable, dancetoable and in no way complicated to follow
I've got 2 different soundtracks (Film and 1990 revival cast) and they're very different but equally awesome
So
I implore you
Go watch Rocky Horror
or
Wait till mine arrives from Amazon (my old copy broke) and come over and watch it, we'll have a party
Will you watch it? Have you seen it? Did you like it? Tell me!

Currently am meant to be doing work that we were given yesterday, that we were made to wait over lunch for. Vair irritating.
Am watching Jane write her blog, and am tempted just to put what she's putting to weird her out. Nah, I'll pass
am leaning on my coat on the radiator, and I think it's burning, but can't really be arsed to move.
Actually, I think I'll have to.
Well
back to pretending to do work

Had a v.nice day in london yesterday, went to the shops, and to the Science Museum
Was full of school kids, but still awesomes, and had a really good lunch too :p
Made biscuits in the evening for Naomi's cakesale thing, as well as trying to make some with popping candy in. They were a bit of a fail, melted in the oven rather than popping in the mouth.
I'll try again soon, adding the fizzy later in the cooking rather than the mix at the beginning
Out tonight, should be good, s'been a while
Dress sorted for Kellner's
It's all go.

One of the weirdest feelings in the world has got to be when you put your head under water in the bath and can feel the air bubbles in your ear. There surely can't be a weirder feeling than that?
In other news, I went for a run today, although I have to say, I walked a good quarter of it. But that's still more exercise than usual. Unfortunately, I then came and ate and uber calorie tea, and then made biscuits. Fail.
Ah well, Walking round london will be exercise enough

Ok, So I'll admit it
Taking English off to do the English essay was a fail. Because the essay has still not been done.
Such a drag. I really do have to do it tho. Eventually
Also, on a side note, someone who I thought could not get more annoying, got more annoying.
And Why can't I tell someone else to get out of my life? Oh yeah, cos they're friends with my friends. Damn you Sociality. Damn You.

It's a pre-work blogpost!
Morning all
Friday was embarressing, but drinkies with Jane after made it all better
Last night was uberawesomes, but joe baker's rubbish timing meant that me saying hi to him, was me saying bye to him cos me n Katie had to go cos, unlike the others, we had to get up this morning. Something I am regretting. Unfortunately, cannot do a Charlotte n ring in sick cos of a hangover, as I do not have a hangover. I'm just really tired, and cold, and cbbaaaaa with work, as I'd hoped to be resigning today, but there has been no word from the library officially
I still haven't done that gothic essay for Miss Dean. Ah well, I'll just hope she doesn't mention it

Parents Evening. Should it have an Apostrophe? O.
Well, I have returned from the night that I was DREADING.
Drama first. 10 minutes late because they kept talking to the person infront of me, but luckily I had allowed for that considering the same thing happened last year. They asked me how I was doing. I said alright. They asked how my group was doing. I said alright. They asked me how I was feeling about performing a week on wednesday. I made a strangled noise and tried to remember how to breath while Miss Horne explained the course to my parents. They asked me where SWED 3+4 were. I said I gave them in a day late, but I gave them in. They don't have them (Which means Rolo lost them). I must reprint. My Mum liked Miss Horne's Top. It was from TopShop, apparently.
English. Went well, actually. Miss Masters complimented my Biscuit skills, and Miss Dean said she wished she could try. I might make cookies for monday English next week. They both said I had a clear grasp of the Gothic, and of Nineteen-Eighty-Four. Miss Masters said I was ahead of the game because I'd read Handmaid's Tale. I said I wanted to do my coursework compairing the Language of 'A Clockwork Orange' to the language of 'Nineteen-Eighty-Four'. They thought it would be interesting to develop. I must stay on topic more in my essays. Miss Dean has drawn a veil over last year.
History. Miss Wensley told me Miss Esmizadeh's notes. She concerned that I don't have a complete grasp on the topic, and that I'm struggling. She also says I'm not doing enough extra work. I should focus more on History and less on Drama. This is true. But Drama is over in 2 weeks. It's not far being the only Drama student in my class. Miss Wensley was much more positive. She says I know what I'm talking about, whenever she comes to me I know the answer, and my grades in essays have improved from a D to a good/high C. She thinks, with work, I can get a B in the final paper.
In the past two days I have watched Ferris Bueller's Day off 5 times. Twice with Commentary.

Ok, so it's a day late. and probably not very long, but here is my post
Drama seems to be slightly more sorted, and now tuesday's stress is over we can concentrate more on the rest
I've taken on a bit of script writing so as to get more of it done, which is more editing now. I don't really mind, once I've got into the characters it's pretty easy to get down. I know what I'm doing for most of it too, so that's all good. Although tomorrow I have to perform an uncomfortable scene to Beth. and I know it's only Beth, but still, I've never had cause to do this in public before. :s
English going well, apart from the resit which was really a bit of a fail, but I think everyone found it harder than before. Stupid Crises in texts. I mean, wth!
History is dittoed to that. The resits were horrible, and seem to have been the same across the board, which I take as some sort of consolation. Bleh, Nullification.
I think, really, that's all I have to say about the past week or so.
Hm. Hope you weren't expecting something really awesome.
I'm glad this week is nearly over, it's been very stressful.
